Well, we have arrived at the end once again. I don't know about you guys but my old bones had a great time and I am  looking forward to the same experience next year. Spending quality time with the best people on some great softball fields keeps us all young and vibrant. Go Softball!!!

WaterOak 18        Stonecrest 12

This game was closer than the score shows. WO jumped out to a 7 to 1 lead but ST scored 4 in the 4th inning to close the gap. Undaunted WO came back with 5 of their own to again lead by 12 to 5. ST came alive in the 5th by scoring 6 more runs. WO  could only answer with  1 run and now led by just 2. Stonecrest cut that lead to 1 run in the top of the 7th. The mighty Oakers came back with 5  of their  own to put the game out  of reach as ST went down 1-2-3 in the 8th.

For StoneCrest       Both Ed Hancock and Keith Kelley were 3/4. Tiny

Kieth Erskine again showed his awesome power with a 2b and HR.

For WaterOak        Pat Stock and  Patricia Dwyer were 4/4 and scored a

total of 8 runs. Bill Holt, Mark Pryor and Pete Basinger all hit 3/4.

Everyone else contributed in an emotionally uplifting game that saw us finish as winners of 3 of our last four games. All are looking forward to the Sun & Fun winter schedule, see ya there!!!

Spruce Creek defeated Del Webb by a score of 11-9.

Leading hitters for Spruce Creek were Tom Maxwell and Will Vail with 3 hits each.    George Matthews and 3 other players had 2 hits each.   Ron Hoppe was the winning pitcher. Everyone enjoy the rest of the summer and looking forward to the fall season.

Have a wonderful rest of summer see you all on November
