Spruce Creek 18 - Stonecrest 5

Spruce Creek took no prisoners mounting a 26 hit tsunami to take the summer series 4-2.  Playing for Spruce Creek this summer Stonecrest free agents Jack Peffer, Mike Eaton, Ed Hancock and Rocky Cammarota were perfect  combining to go 15 for 15.  Eaton added a home run  for good measure.  For Stonecrest Big Keith Erskine was a perfect 3 for 3 and Al Smith and John Sanner for each 2 for 3.  Mike Kemp launched a 1st inning three run home run and was intentionally walked by winning pitcher George Mathews in the 3rd inning and again in the 6th inning with a 13 run lead (really folks an intentional walk with a 13 run lead in the 6th inning).

WaterOak-----10                   Del Webb-----6

Game started out a little on the dull side with a score of 1 to 1 after 3.Dell Webb scored 2 in the top of the 4th on errors going ahead 3 to 1 but we woke up and came back with 4 of our own to go ahead 5 to 3. We then scored 5 more in the next two innings to put it out of reach for Del Webb although they scored 3 in the top of the 7th to make it interesting.

For Dell Webb----- Ron Price had 3 hits while Don "on fire" O'leary, Rob Hamblin and Dave Roberts had two hits each.

For WaterOak-----Tom Agle, Ruben Rodriguez and Pete Basinger had 3 hits each. Our Bob Ducharme faltered a bit today due to the retirement of his PINK cooler. He replaced it with a MACHO blue one but couldn't  match the output  of  his Pink cooler and pretty little Tu Tu. The New York ballet company has asked me to setup an audition for Bob. They just think he is so pretty in pink. If he would just shave his legs it could lead to a whole new career.
