Summerglen/mcdonald allstate - 16 clerbrook 9

As usual, summerglen remained in bed as clerbrook took the lead in the first inning with 4 runs off the bats of larry cagle and bill campbell.  But summerglen wuzzn't skeer'd.  They've made a habit of giving up a few right away and then recovering in inning two.  And so it goes.  Jeff fedorchak started the barrage with a moon shot to right field for a triple, knocking in dick dean.  Paul maywald added an rbi with his "good eye" walk.  Then it was paul richmond feeding his habit with a home run plating 3 runs enact the 5-run proviso.  Don ficcarra picked up where paul left off with 2 rbi in the third. By the fourth inning mcdonald/allstate was was in overdrive, with paul richmond doing the driving again; this time with 2 rbi.  Sg was sitting on a 4-run lead. Not one to be left out of the party ficarra drove in 2 more. Chuck "the rifleman" connors then reloaded and finished things up with another 2 rbi.

For summerglen: paul richmond had 2 hits and 5 rbi; byron ayers 2 rbi; don ficarra 2 hits, 4 rbi;  dick dean was 2 for 2 with an rbi.  Paul maywald had a "perfect" 0 for 0 day with an rbi.  Chuck connors went 3 for 3 with 2 rbi and roger murray 2/2 and an rbi.  Debbie grumski went 2 for 2 and showed some excellent glove work out in right field.

For clerbrook: larry cagle had a perfect day: 4 for 4 with an rbi. Jim campbell was 3 for 4 with 2 rbi.  Bill campbell knocked in 3 runs.with his 2 hits. Clerbrook's infield defense was . . . Awesome.

Water oak one step; 17 plantation hampton's: 12

Hampton's played pretty good keeping  the score close in beginning of the game, but the errors again slowed us down.  Glad the rain held off, and the sun kept us warm.  The team was hitting ball well, but but directly to the opposite team players (one step).  While hampton's team was playing catch up; the one step guys kept pounding the ball. Rich ryan 3/4; malden mehes 3/3; john bowser 3/3; pete king (home run) 2/3; and finally dave noyes 2/3;  and kent wheeler  3/4.thanks; guys, for a good time and game.
