Home plate umpire was Bob Thompson and Pat Funch handled the bases.   Holiday Village was led by Dennis Mahan who had 2 home runs.  Rod Huey had 2 hits including a home run.  Bernie Rau had 2 hits including a home run.  Dave Duval was 3/3.  Doug McKinney had 3 hits.  Bill Lissimore, Charlie Hanning, Butch Tanner, Mark Sims, and Randy Hauser all had 2 hits.   Del Webb was led by Armando Llaguno and Jim Delucia who had 3 hits each.  Bill Schumacher, Jonathon Barnett, Terry Johnson, Bill Casteel, and Jack DeMagutin each added 2 hits each.

Holiday Village and Pennbrooke had there hitting shoes on today combining for 60 hits between the two teams. Holiday jumped in front with 3 runs in the top of the first on a 3 run homer by "whats his name", Pennbrooke started hitting a took a big lead only to have Holiday's power bats make it a close game..Holiday was led by Mark Sims with 2 home runs including a grand slam and 8 rbi's, "whats his name" had 2 home runs and 4 rbi's and Doug Mckinney added a homerun and 2 rbi's.  Pennbrookes attack was led by Dodd Carter with 4/4,Floyd Williams had a monster game with 3 hits including a grand slam and a double and 6 rbi's, Joe Trotz had 3 hits including a big homerun in the bottom of the 7th to give Pennbrooke some much needed breathing room.  Also with 3 hits were Doug Long, Pat Stock, John Baker, Matt Palmer ,Glenn Laney and Ross Querry and winning pitcher Rick Bracken.  Great game enjoyed by our fans.

Holiday Village defeated Continental/ Wildwood Tire Co. by a score of 15-6.   The home plate umpire was Sally Guerette and Mel Curran handled the bases.  Holiday Village was led by Doug McKinney who had 2 home runs. Mark Sims had a grand slam home run and Rod Huey added a HR.   Continental was led by Dan Amstutz  and Rich Smith who had 2 hits each.  

Del Webb Pennbrooke was cancelled due to rain.

Holiday Village defeated Del Webb/ Big Bob’s Pizza by a score of 13-12.  Home plate umpire was Ray Wnuck and Mel Curran handled the bases.   Del Webb actually outhit Holiday Village 22 to 20 but left base full a couple time.  Holiday Village played good defense.  Holiday Village was led by Dave Duval who had 3 hits including a home run.  Tony Hauser, Rod Huey and Butch Tanner added 2 hits each.  Del Webb was led by Jack Demagistris who had 4 hits.  Cal Allison and Bill Casteel each had 3 hits each.   Terry Johnson, Bill Schumacher, Glen Hemingway and Armando Llaguno (HR) each added 2 hits each.

In a seesaw battle that went 9 innings the hometeam prevailed.  Trailing by a run in the bottom of the 8th Jon Hartman homered to tie the score.  Holiday scored 3 in the top of the 9th before Pennbrooke came back with 4 of there own  on a walk-off hit by Doug Long. Holiday was led by Doug Mckinney with 2 home runs while Pennbrooke was led by Joe Trotz 5/5, Floyd Williams with 4 hitsand 3 hits from Stock, Palmer and Bracken..great game between great friends

Great day of softball and friendship at the finally opened Pennbrooke field.  The visitors started off strong and were led by Ed Leech 3/4 with a homerun, TJ Valley 3/3 and Mgr Rich Smith adding 3/3, also contributing was Jeff Ashley with 3 hits and his first strikeout in 17 years of slo pitch softball and by the way he was caught looking at strike 3, im sure next time i face him he will hit multiple homeruns.. Pennbrooke came back strong and was led By John Baker and Jon Hartman with 3 hits each.  Joe Trotz,Floyd Williams and Dodd carter added 2 hits each for the home team. Winning pitcher was Rick Bracken...Glad to be back home

  In a game rescheduled from 1/5 Pennbrooke played at Del Webb as the home team (thanks to Del Webb for there sportsmanship and friendship). Del Webb jumped out to a 4-0 lead due to some good hitting and poor defense and that score held up fr 3 innings before Pennbrookes bats came alive.  Del Webb was led by Cal, Sidwell and Glenn with 3 hits and Terry, Jonathan and Ralph chipped in with 2 hits each...Pennbrooke was led by Glenn Laney with 4 hits and Floyd Williams, Dodd Carter and Matt Palmer had 3 hits each with Matt also legging out an inside the park homerun. John Hartman had 2 hits and a moon shot homerun and Pat Stock had 2 triples.  winning pitcher was Rick Bracken

On a chilly morning Pennbrooke had the long ball working. Pennbrooke was led by Dodd Carter with 3 monstrous homeruns and 6 rbi's, Doug Long with 4 hits and a homerun, Pat Stock with 3 hits and a homerun, Glenn Laney with 3 hits and a homerun, Floyd Williams with 3 hits and John Baker with a homerun. Thee bright spot for Holiday Village was Rod Huey with 3 hits including 2 homeruns.  Winning pitcher was Rick Bracken and losing pitcher was Pat Funch who broke a Holiday Village record by giving up 7 homeruns..sorry Pat, but Butch made me say it.  Pennbrookes Brad Hubert played an excellent game.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both teams.

Lots of hitting on a beautiful day for softball at Pennbrooke field today. Both teams tore the cover of the ball and whenever Continental caught up or closed the gap Pennbrooke responded.  leading hitters for CCC were Jeff Ashley with 5 hits and a homerun, and Ed Leech, Steve Jones and Rick Cataldo contributed with 4 hits each and Chris Todd had 3 hits and a Homerun.  For the home team Rick Bracken and Glenn Laney had 4 hits, Doug Long and John Baker both had 3 hits and homeruns, and Matt Palmer, Joe Trotz, John Martucci and Ross Querry had 3 hits each.  Winning pitcher was Jim Hicks. But the MVP for Pennbrooke was Brad Hubert who had 3 hits and great baserunning...Great job Brad.  Good friendship and sportsmanship by all.

Well the weather was chilly this morning and the bats were even colder for the first three innings as neither team was able to score a run.  Bottom of the 4th Spruce Creek got on the scoreboard with 4 runs.  Continental came back with 3 of there own. After 6 innings it was 5-5 but Continental scored 5 more runs in the last two innings to win 10-6.  For Continental Ed Leech had 3 hits including a homerun, Grant MacDomale and Rich Smith also had 3 hits.  For Spruce Creek Tom Maxwell had a perfect 4-4 and Bill Glisson had 3 hits.

Well played game defensively by both teams with alot of good  sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Holiday Village lead 6 to 2 at the end of the 3rd inning and held on for the win.

For Holiday Village: Dennis Mahan and John Bistor each had 3 hits with Mark Sims, Bill Lissimore and Cheri Hahn each with 2 hits.

Continental was lead by Ed Leech with 2 hits and 4 RBI’s.

It was the 2nd game this week between these teams with Pennbrooke coming out on top again this time 13-3.  The Pennbrooke bats were hot all game with everyone in their line-up picking up at least one hit.  Jim Hicks with 5 hits and Pat Stock with 4 hits led the way for Pennbrooke.  For Spruce Creek; Bill Glisson and Al DeBois each had 3 hits for the losing team.

Great game today at Pennbrooke with the final score Pennbrooke 12 and Spruce creek 11.  The winning run game on a homerun by Matt Palmer.  Jim Hicks was the winning pitcher and also went 3/3. For Spruce Creek Leroy Burke Rick Kosto had 3 hits with a homerun and Ron Hopper and Bill Glisson had 3 hits each, good game and good sportsmanship by both teams
