What is Sun and Fun Senior Softball League
Founded on December 10, 1991 by six charter teams, the Sun and Fun Senior Softball League was created for athletes aged 55+ in adult communities to compete in friendly, slow pitch softball focused on sportsmanship, exercise, and camaraderie.
The league’s first season ran from January to March 1992 with games on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Now, 35 years later, play extends from
November through March,
featuring 16 communities and 42 teams.
